Remarks: Trent Willis made an announcement at 6:30am. We need help on 12/16. The Port commission will lease to a company called Eagle Rock at Berth 20. They want the teamsters to do the work. Teamsters do not work ships, on the waterfront. We need to protect these jobs so that our children, our grandchildren can continue to work on the waterfront. We have families that have been down here multigenerational¿ We need to be ready to ¿throw down¿ and protect our jobs. The Union meeting which is normally cancelled in December, will be held on 12/16. The employers wanted a one year extension (in July 2022) on the next negotiations but the union emphatically said ¿No¿, we are already working off an extension from the last contract. And lastly, I know some of you like to get off early¿. But I¿m here to tell you, no speeding on the terminals.
